Answers to some of the questions our patients often ask.
When do I see an Orthodontist?
You are never too old... you might be too young :) . Normally we can examine your teeth from the age of 8 years. This will vary from person to person.
How often will I see you?
We will be seeing one another on a regular basis. Appointments are scheduled between 6 to 8 week intervals.

Why do I see an Orthodontist
When you have a problem with the alignment or position of your teeth, that is when you come and see an orthodontist. We will examine your teeth and advise on the road forward.
Will I be able to play sports?
Yes. It is very good to play sports. It will be advised to wear a mouth guard when playing.
Fee for Braces?
Between R30 000 - R80 000 Depends on the severity of the treatment.
Does it hurt?
No it does not hurt. We don't even use needles. Through the treatment process you will feel some pressure as we are busy aligning your teeth.
How long does it take?
The time it takes for the teeth to move and realign will vary from patient to patient. The treatment plan will take approximately 18 to 24 months.
What happens after removing braces?
After braces removal, the stage of treatment called "Retention" starts. (R10 000 - R13 000)
